Rachel Talalay is an American director, who directed the Doctor Who stories Dark Water / Death in Heaven and Heaven Sent / Hell Bent. She is the first woman in the show's history to direct a finale episode.

She is known for films such as Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare in 1991, Ghost in the Machine in 1993, Tank Girl in 1995, and The Wind in the Willows in 2006.
