The Tanguska Basin was a region in Russia. In 1908 the Tunguska Scroll was recovered in the basin. (SJA: Enemy of the Bane)
- The name of the basin was seen in set art and seems to be a misspelling of the Tunguska basin formed by the Tunguska river. (the name of the scroll is spelled correct). Still the possibility exists that in the world of Doctor Who the river is simply spelled differently.
