Alfred Stahlbaum was the "creator" of the Silver Turk. He used it to play games against paying customers, along with performing concerts. He had an admiration for Mitzi Wittenmeier, though while she once returned his affections, she married another man, the two not speaking for four years, long enough for Mitzi to have a child with Count Wittenmeier. It turned out that he didn't create his "Turk, on account of it being a crash-landed Cyberman he stole from Johan Drossel. Since the creature was delirious and pained, Stahlbaum kept it under repeated sedation, and tried feeding it on a diet of cabbage soup. When two of his patrons were murdered, Stahlbaum became panicked and scared, aware he was being followed by Drossel.
When the Doctor arrived, he revealed the Turk's identity to a full crowd. Panicking, Stahlbaum tried to flee, only to be confronted by Drossel. Stahlbaum attempted to defend himself from Drossel with a gun, but Drossel turned out to be immune to bullets. (AUDIO: The Silver Turk)
