| An intelligent humanoid race native to [[Karfel]], a [[planet]] visited by the [[Third Doctor]] and [[Jo Grant]] in an unrecorded adventure, and by the [[Sixth Doctor]], [[Perpugilliam Brown]], and a young [[H.G. Wells]] in ''[[Timelash (TV story)|Timelash]]''. They share the planet with large lizards called [[Morlox]]es, and have a relationship with a nearby species known as the [[Bandril]] which is sometimes friendly and sometimes warlike. During the time of ''Timelash'', the Karfelons were ruled by a secretive, despotic being known as the [[Borad]], who was actually a scientist named Megelen who had become physically fused with a Morlox during an unethical experiment with the chemical [[Mustakozene-80]]. Karfel is also the location of one endpoint of the [[Timelash]], a time-space corridor connecting the planet with [[Earth]] in [[1179]] [[Scotland]].
