Debbie Chazen played Foon Van Hoff in the Doctor Who story Voyage of the Damned. The BBC had previously tried to cast her as a Slitheen in The Sarah Jane Adventures episode Revenge of the Slitheen but she did not take the role, declaring she would rather be in Doctor Who.[source needed]
Shortly after her role in Doctor Who, she narrated the audiobook version of the BBC novel Wishing Well. She later narrated the audiobooks of Shining Darkness and The Slitheen Excursion. She also contributed to the charity reference book Behind the Sofa: Celebrity Memories of Doctor Who.
Her father was the late Arnold Chazen, who appeared in Doctor Who in 1967.
