The Philippines is an archipelago nation in the Pacific Ocean and is part of southeast Asia.
In 2059, the Philippines was rumoured to be working on a Mars rocket. Margaret Cain thought a surprise visitor to Bowie Base One might be a Filipino astronaut. (TV: The Waters of Mars)
In 5000, the Philippines took part in World War VI, which ended when the Filipino Army marched on Reykjavik and liberated it from the Supreme Alliance. The Doctor marched alongside them and witnessed the final battle. (TV: The Talons of Weng-Chiang)
