Alpha Centauri system

The Alpha Centauri System was a binary star system, only 4 light years from the sol system.[source needed]

The system contained two primary stars, Alpha Centauri A and B; they orbited each other. The star Proxima Centauri also orbited the pair. It had its own star system. [source needed]
