Blair Mowat composes the score for the Doctor Who spin-off Class, as well as having written the opening theme for BBC's The Doctor Who Fan Show.

He also composed a new arrangement of the Torchwood theme as well as incidental music for the Big Finish Torchwood series. After collaborating with Mark Gatiss on the Radio 4 project The Blind Man, he then went on to compose the music for the Big Finish audio adaptation of Gatiss's Doctor Who novel Nightshade, composing a score which heavily evoked the music of the McCoy era.

In 2016, he composed a new arrangement of the Doctor Who theme for The Unbound Universe box set.

As a musical arranger he has worked on Doctor Who with composer Murray Gold.
