Michael Thomas was the fiancé of Frances. After being injured he couldn't face going back to her and lead her to think he was dead. When Jamie McCrimmon told him to help France and Polly Wright, this act helped to defeat the ghosts of the dead from overtaking the world. (AUDIO: The Mouthless Dead)
