The Master's TARDIS was NOT identified as a Type 40 in Terror of the Autons. The Doctor simply indicates that the Master's TARDIS uses a Type II dematerialisation circuit, while his own uses a Type I.

I would be delighted if someone could point out to me where it is indicated in this story that the Master's TARDIS is a Type 40.
