I'm not actually certain where we got that bit about the caretaker going missing before the Seventh Doctor comes along in Remembrance. It doesn't seem to be said in Remembrance itself, and I checked and saw nothing in Who Killed Kennedy. Did I miss something in Remembrance of the Daleks, or is this information incorrect/speculative? 01:09, November 13, 2016 (UTC) |

Revert change of school name back to Coal Hill Secondary Schooledit source
The opening scene of the Day of the Doctor shows the name of the school as Coal Hill Secondary School. Shouldn't this be the current name of the school in the title? Accessdbpro ☎ 04:12, November 24, 2013 (UTC)
Why was that removed?edit source

Anonymous vandalismedit source
An edit made two weeks ago by an anonymous user removed quite a bit of information from this page. Could an admin undo this edit while still keeping the many edits made since then? CoT ? 14:35, October 10, 2016 (UTC)
- Oh, I was wondering why the article was lacking so many sources when I arrived the other day. I'll have to restore what's missing manually.

Infobox changesedit source
Coal Hill has been known as a School for most of the Doctor Who's history (1963 up to 2015). The only stories which reference it as an Academy are the Class episodes. Therefore, wouldn't it be way more logical to leave the infobox with the name "Coal Hill School" and an image of the Coal Hill School and metion the name change only on the article itself? - I'd beg to differ, Class has a much bigger focus on Coal Hill than anything before. I would estimate that the school had at best two hours of screen time in all of the original series. And in the new series, it has only really had The Caretaker as more than cameo appearance. Outside of TV< Coal Hill has only been focused on in a novella, a short story, and an hour-long audiobook. Not to say anything definite, but I believe Class will encompass that coverage.
Headmaster in 2013edit source
Mr. Armitage is said to have been the headteacher in July 2013 at the earliest yet the sign in Day of the Doctor (which apparently takes place around September) states that the Headmaster is W. Coburn. Are we to assume that this is a continuity error or is it possible that the sign had simply not been changed from W. Coburn leaving to Mr. Armitage joining? SarahJaneFan ☎ 22:45, October 30, 2016 (UTC)
- The letter dated 19 July 2013 is signed by Armitage, explicitly as Head Teacher. I'd say it's just a continuity error. There is no reason to suspect that the sign in Day is out of date; that's already deep into the realm of speculation. Whoever was ultimately in charge of the production of that letter did not account for The Day of the Doctor giving us a different headmaster around that time.

W. Coburn was described as a "pompous ass" by Clara Oswald in the Novel,The Blood Cell which suggests that he did exist and isn't a continuity error. The Blood Cell is likely to have taken place in 2014 so I think it's best to assume that the sign was in fact out of date. SarahJaneFan ☎ 23:09, October 30, 2016 (UTC)
- That ought to be fixed. She describes the headmaster as a "pompous ass", and because at the time of editing Armitage wasn't confirmed as filling that role, it was assumed she was talking about Coburn. It just wasn't clear in his Doctor Who appearances what role he really plays at Coal Hill, but he was certainly some high-level administrator, and no other headmaster is ever seen. I conclude that the reference in The Blood Cell was probably intended to refer to Mr Armitage.

Is it me, or is the current page image a terrible illustration of the current building? Shouldn't the image be focused on the building itself, and not Charlie obscuring a sign? -- Tybort (talk page) 17:04, November 1, 2016 (UTC)
