The Coal Hill Space-Time Rift, also known as the Rift, the Tear and the Bunghole of Space was a time rift located at Coal Hill Academy. (TV: For Tonight We Might Die et al)

Following several alien incursions at the school such as the Daleks (TV: Remembrance of the Daleks) and a Skovox Blitzer (TV: The Caretaker), the tear opened up in around October 2016. The first aliens to enter through to Earth were a pair of Leaf Dragons, and one of them became imprinted onto the skin of Coach Dawson (TV: The Coach with the Dragon Tattoo). The next to enter were the Shadow Kin and Corakinus, who used the tear to hunt down and kill
