Billy Shipton]]eader|The Howling}}
Well, I was watching "Blink" and I noticed a very strange trend with the namings in Steven Moffat's episodes--all the first names seem to end with -y, -ie, -ey, etc. I don't think this was intentional but it's a funny coincidence.
Let's recap:
- "The Empty Child"/"The Doctor Dances": Nancy and Jamie. There was also a Timothy, an Algy, and an Ernie.
- "The Girl in the Fireplace"...okay, Reinette was based on a historical character, but there was still a King Louis (which is pronounced Louie)
- "Blink": the main characters are Sally, Larry, Kathy, and Billy.
- "Silence in the Library"/"Forest in the Dead": haven't seen this one yet (I'm taping it on BBCA next week when they air it), but I know there's River Song, who's real name we now know is Melody.
- "The Eleventh Hour": The infamous intro of Amy and Rory. And a possessed coma patient named Barney who dreams about walking dogs.
- "The Beast Below": Besides Amy, there were also the kids Timmy and Mandy.
- Okay, we get a break with "The Time of Angels"/"Flesh and Stone" and "The Pandorica Opens"/"The Big Bang", but plenty of Amy, Rory, and River/Melody.
- "The Impossible Astronaut"/"Day of the Moon": Joy, which doesn't make the same sound but still ends in -y.
- "A Good Man Goes to War": Once again Amy, Rory, and even a little Melody, along with Jenny and the reappearence of Henry and Toby Avery.
It was just a strange coincidence I saw and thought I'd share it. Thank you, Glimmer721 02:13, July 30, 2011 (UTC)
