SkyPoint is the latest high-rise addition to the ever-developing Cardiff skyline. It's the most high-tech, avant-garde apartment block in the city. And it's where Rhys Williams is hoping to find a new home for himself and Gwen. When Torchwood discover that residents have been going missing from the tower block, one of the team gets her dream assignment. Soon, SkyPoint's latest newly married tenants are moving in. And Toshiko Sato finally gets to make a home with Owen Harper. Then something comes out of the wall...
Story Summary
Rhys Williams and Gwen Cooper both return from their first day of work since their honeymoon. Rhys has a surprise for Gwen and quickly ushers her back out of the flat for an appointment at half six. The appointment was with an estate agent, Brian Shaw, at SkyPoint, the new high-tech, high-rise apartment block in Cardiff. Gwen immediately protests the price, but Rhys convinces her to at least look. As they enter the building, Gwen spots Besnik Lucca, a criminal she knew of from her police days, who never got convicted. Upon asking the receptionist, , what he was doing there, she informs Gwen that he owns the penthouse at SkyPoint. Gwen tries to leave, claiming it wouldn't be safe, but they are stopped by the arrival of Brian. He begins to show them around an apartment, but disappears after the tour is only half finished. Suspecting the Rift, Gwen returns to work.
However, back at the Hub, Toshiko Sato tells Gwen that there was no Rift activity at SkyPoint at that time. Wishing to investigate more, Jack Harkness and Toshiko head for SkyPoint, whilst Jack sends Gwen home to enjoy married life.
