Inverness was a city in Scotland.
History
Grey planned to send a group of highlanders to Inverness after he bribed the sergeant who was holding them. Once there they were imprisoned. Later, Grey was incarcerated for his crimes in Inverness prison. (TV: The Highlanders)
Combat 3000 had a branch there. A girl went missing after playing the game. Later she escaped her kidnapper Uvlavad Kudlak along with Luke Smith, Clyde Langer, Maria Jackson, Sarah Jane Smith, Jen, Ella and Jack. (TV: Warriors of Kudlak)
Inverness was also where Amy Pond lived before moving to Leadworth. (PROSE: The Forgotten Army)
Behind the scenes
Doctor Who actress Karen Gillan was born in Inverness. Just like her character Amy, she also grew up there.
