- Rhys says that the 456 came 44 years ago, meaning the story is set in 2009
- The original Torchwood 3 team from the start of the series have now all died, except Gwen. Suzie died in Everything Changes and again in They Keep Killing Suzie, Owen and Tosh died in Exit Wounds, Jack has died hundreds of times throughout the series. Ianto is killed in this episode by a virus released by the 456.
