The Hesitation Deviation was the twelfth story of the sixth season of Big Finish Productions' Short Trips series. The story acted as a Christmas special for the series; instead of being released on the final day of the month as stories in the series usually were, it was released two days before Christmas. The story starred Lisa Bowerman as Bernice Summerfield and an uncredited actor as a medical droid, making it the second Short Trip to use multiple actors.
