Synopsis

Torchwood finally learns of the events of 1965. Britain is in danger of becoming a rogue state, and everything now pivots around John Frobisher, as the ambassador of the 456 destroys its old allegiances.

Story notes

  • The Majority of the orginal Torchwood 3 team from the start of the series have now died, with the exception of Gwen. Suzie died in Everything Changes and again in They Keep Killing Suzie, Owen died in Reset and again in Exit Wounds along with Toshiko, and Jack has died many times throughout the series. Ianto is killed in this episode by a virus released by the 456.

Discontinuity, Plot Holes and Errors

Rhys says the 456 came to Earth 44 years ago, meaning that all events which take place in the "Whoniverse" are a year ahead of the real timeline, viz. Children of Earth is set in 2010.

Continuity

  • Jack dies twice in this episode. He was shot by Clem at the beginning of the episode. He also inherited the virus from the 456.
