BBC Children's Books is an impint of the Penguin Group, which publishes licensed books featuring BBC properties targeted at the children's market.
The imprint published a 14-volume series of hardcovers entitled the Doctor Who Files, which featured original short stories. These stories were later compiled into another BBC Children's Books release, The Doctor Who Stories, in late 2009.
In 2009, the BBC Children's Books imprint published the 10-volume Doctor Who series The Darksmith Legacy, before releasing six books under the Doctor Who 2 in 1 banner across 2010-2012.
