Mrs Bennett was a Meercock.
After the Valceans destroyed their homeworld, the survivors tried to settle on Earth. However, their mistaken research led them to adopting bodies and identities resembling fictional characters. Mrs Bennett took the form of a character from Pride and Prejudice. After getting into a car accident, she and her daughters turned into verdigris and died. (PROSE: Verdigris)
