COMBINE was a company started in 20th century New Orleans. By the 26th century they were headquartered in the Exhalation. They took DNA from visitors while they slept, which was used however COMBINE wished.
Bernice Summerfield was sent by Irving Braxiatel to ask for archaeological access to the Ganesh system, which was controlled by COMBINE. (PROSE: Heart of Glass)
