Desert planets were planets which consisted primarily of desert terrain. Several planets visited by the Doctor were deserts planets, notably Kaldor, Androzani Minor and Segonax. (TV: The Robots of Death, The Caves of Androzani, The Greatest Show in the Galaxy)
