Thanks for your recent edits! I'm Jimbo, your robot wiki representative! We hope you'll keep on editing with us. This is actually a great time to have joined, because we're now fully independent, and working on a host of new features!
We've got a couple of important quirks for a fan written wiki, so let's get them out of the way first.
British English, please
We generally use British English 'round these parts, so if you use another form of English, please be sure you set your spell checker to BrEng, and take a gander at our spelling cheat card.
Spoilers aren't cool
We have a strict definition of "spoiler" that you may find a bit unusual. Basically, a spoiler, to us, is anything that comes from a story which has not been released yet. So, even if you've got some info from a BBC press release or official trailer, it basically can't be referenced here. In other words, you gotta wait until the episode has finished its premiere broadcast to start editing about its contents. Please check the spoiler policy for more details.
Other useful stuff
Aside from those two things, we also have some pages that you should probably read when you get a chance, like:
- the listing of all our help, policy and guideline pages
- our Manual of Style
- our image use policy
- our user page policy
If you're brand new to wiki editing — and we all were, once! — you probably want to check out these tutorials at Wikipedia, the world's largest wiki:
Remember that you should always sign your comments on talk and vote pages using four tildes like this:Thanks for becoming a member of the TARDIS crew! If you have any questions, see the Help pages, add a question to one of the Forums or ask an admin.
Gallifreyan
To become a Gallifreyan, fill this out, please:
You're at a cafe with a companion. Someone is making everyone else's life a complete misery by being extremely rude and obnoxious. How would you handle them?
Offer the troublemaker candy to satiate him/her.
Decide the situation is a bit too inconsequential to waste your valuable time on.
Kindly explain to the offender that he/she should really be a better sport and get along with everyone.
Make veiled inferences about the power you posses, and your ability to make the offender's life difficult indeed if they should continue.
Suggest to your companion that perhaps another cafe would be more desirable.
Ask the offender if they would kindly keep their blathering to the minimum, as you've got important work to do.
Compete with the offender by being a bit more rude and obnoxious to him/her until the offender gives up and leaves
Challenge the troublemaker to a battle of wits, the loser of which must leave the cafe.
When you dress, do you prefer something...
loud, colorful - make a statement.
simple, classic - perhaps with a tie or kerchief.
with fur, not real mind you... neccesarily.
immaculate and tailored - dressed to the nines! simple, well worn - a bit thrift shop really.
old fashioned - maybe even a western feel.
sporty - and a bit preppy. casual classic - with a bit of a twist to make it interesting.
Pick a piece of furniture that appeals to you.
Highback chair
Coat rack
Comfy Chair
Lowback Chair, brightly colored
What do you look for in a travelling companion?
Someone who has your back in a pinch
Someone Intelligent
Someone innocent and kind
Someone capable and friendly
Pick a color!
Rich, Deep Red
Dark Green
Just one?
Cream
Light Blue
Black
Bright Red
Red... no blue... no green.... no white...no yellow! Maybe pink?
Life is...
Learning
Adventure
Freedom
Mystery
Beautiful
a Laugh
Hope
A Bit Odd, Eh?
You most fear...
Spiders
Heights
Old Age
Disease
Concussions
Guns
Your Peers
Uhm.... I'll get back to you on that.
What item most appeals to you?
Umbrella
Ring
Screwdriver
Recorder
Pocket Watch
Funny Pin
Celery
Scarf
You're faced with a large dilemma. Do you...
Make a choice - quite simple really. It's not as though you can make a mistake.
Retreat to a special place to think.
Recall the wisdom of a well-respected elder to help you.
Question yourself briefly, but proceed on confident in your abilities.
Wonder whether you've made the right decision... well, of course you did. Surely. Yes, yes. You did. Don't be silly.
Play some music to calm yourself and think.
Make up your mind, easily enough while listening to others opinions.
Head right into it and resolve it as you go along.
