Professor Hu was a Chinese scientist who worked for the Directorate of State Security in Moscow. He was trying to neutralise electrons for use as a possible weapon. His experiments, coinciding with Isaac's music, opened up what the Fifth Doctor called a "comprehensive nullfield". (PROSE: Resonance)
