igloo Regeneration are a real estate business who developed Porth Teigr in the Cardiff Bay area, in partnership with the Welsh government, for its use by the BBC for Roath Lock Studios and Doctor Who Experience. They were therefore directly involved in Roath Lock's construction.
At the studio's launch ceremony, Mark Hallett, Development Director for igloo, said: "Delivering Roath Lock studios for the BBC has been a truly collaborative project. We have worked in close partnership with both the BBC and VINCI Construction UK to deliver Roath Lock studios to a high specification in a very short space of time. Despite this, environmental sustainability - a key aspect for all partners - remained at the forefront of the project, leading to the achievement of BREEAM Outstanding - the highest sustainability rating possible."[1]
