When you say [[Big Brother]] started in the 90's, do you mean worldwide or just the UK version? That's why I removed the "late 20th century" part because I assumed it was referring to the UK Big Brother, which started in 2000.  [[User:Whoniverse93|Whoniverse93]] 13:48, 4 August 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for your recent edits! I'm Jimbo, your robot wiki representative! We hope you'll keep on editing with us. This is actually a great time to have joined, because we're now fully independent, and working on a host of new features!

We've got a couple of important quirks for a fan written wiki, so let's get them out of the way first.

British English, please

We generally use British English 'round these parts, so if you use another form of English, please be sure you set your spell checker to BrEng, and take a gander at our spelling cheat card.

Spoilers aren't cool

We have a strict definition of "spoiler" that you may find a bit unusual. Basically, a spoiler, to us, is anything that comes from a story which has not been released yet. So, even if you've got some info from a BBC press release or official trailer, it basically can't be referenced here. In other words, you gotta wait until the episode has finished its premiere broadcast to start editing about its contents. Please check the spoiler policy for more details.

Other useful stuff

Aside from those two things, we also have some pages that you should probably read when you get a chance, like:

If you're brand new to wiki editing — and we all were, once! —  you probably want to check out these tutorials at Wikipedia, the world's largest wiki:

Remember that you should always sign your comments on talk and vote pages using four tildes like this:

Historical v. Futuristic?

You're not the only one who likes the pseudohistorical stories better - the futuristic ones always suffered from the Beeb's lack of budget; they could re-use stuff from period dramas for pseudohistorical stories and make them look a lot better. For me, it was those settings, as well as the gothic look of the Hinchcliffe era that really set the Doc apart from other sci-fi. Monkey with a Gun 22:48, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

Manual of Style

I wouldn't go straight through all the real world profiles just yet, as we might alter the Manual of style to bring it all into line with the rest of the wiki. What do you think? I'm just thinking in terms of the logical flow throughout the wikia, as we italicise story titles everywhere else but the real world profiles. Thanks. --Tangerineduel 12:46, 6 April 2009 (UTC)

Infoboxes

Because of your past work on filling out a lot of character pages, your views are invited on a proposal to radically alter the infoboxes. Please come to the forum thread and give your views. Thanks! CzechOut | 17:09, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
