St. or St?

I just committed the sin of creating a redirect to this article from an alternate spelling - specifically "St." with a period. Such usage is common outside the UK, but I've also seen this story frequently spelled with a period too. Does anyone have access to a source (script, official source) to confirm the BBC doesn't use a period? The discrepancy is very, very likely the reason why The Bells of Saint John is spelled out. 70.72.197.66talk to me 13:43, July 2, 2013 (UTC)

First time?

Wasn't 'the first time The Doctor faced a double' in series 2 episode "The Death of The Doctor", where he fought the Dalek copy of himself? Does that not count since it was created and not an unique entity? The preceding unsigned comment was added by 174.79.1.249 (talk).
