The Kinda were the near-Human inhabitants of Deva Loka. They were outwardly primitive but peaceful and enlightened, as well as gifted with telepathic abilities. They aided the Doctor in banishing the Mara. Most Kinda were mute, with the exception of some females like Karuna and Panna, who were wisewomen of their people. Their method of reproduction may differ significantly from that of Humans, as Karuna had seven fathers.
