Veec-Ellic-Savareen-Jal-9 ("Veec-9", for short) was a Jal Karath from Hive 9.
When he criticised the ruling Hive council by calling them tyrants, they retaliated by destroying the nucleus colony in which he was born and branded him as a traitor. Becoming a fugitive, he was chased for eleven quadrants until arriving on Earth in 1947. He settled down in Calcutta, India, posing as a human. Three months later, he was found by a Jal Karath known as Darac-Poul-Caparrel-Jal-7.
