Paul Murphy directed the Series 8 Doctor Who episodes Robot of Sherwood and The Caretaker.
His other television credits included Casualty, Hollyoaks, Grange Hill and the science fiction series Wizards vs Aliens which was created by former Doctor Who showrunner Russell T Davies and Phil Ford.
