Katr Korzen was the captain of the Lung of Heaven. By the time she met the Fifth Doctor and Nyssa, she had been serving on the Lung for over forty years, over half of that as its captain.
Korzen's crew rescued the Doctor and Nyssa when the Doctor's TARDIS materialised in the seas of Lethe. Before long, the Lung was attacked by a pirate ship, the Parliament of Rats, which was captained and crewed by mutated humans. The Parliament's captain, Pym, was searching for Korzen, but she hid below decks with the Doctor. Once her crew had surrendered, she and the Doctor came out of hiding. She shot off Pym's head, and she and her crew defeated the rest of the pirates. (PROSE: The Parliament of Rats)
