War Machines were robots built by the human slaves of the super-computer WOTAN in a plot to take over the world.

Design and Abilities

The War Machines were boxlike in shape and incapable of advanced movement and any huge speeds. There travelled at a slower pace than an average walking speed. The had two mechanical arms for attacking. They had a tanklike central track semingly for movement. They had flashing lights on the front face of the box shape.

History

The War Machines were robots designed by the super-computer WOTAN and built by its human slaves in its plot to conquer Earth. WOTAN processed the thoughts that machines should become the dominant force on Earth and therefore removal of humans was neccersary.

Only two War Machines were ever activated.

The first War Machine attacked a group of soilders despite heavy fire and remained undamaged. Before it could kill the remaining soilders and the Doctor it shut down as it was incomplete.

The second War Machine was captured by the Doctor and reprogrammed to destroy WOTAN which it did successfully. (DW: The War Machines)

Centuries in the future, historians of New Jupiter mistakenly believed that the War Machines were designed by the General Post Office to deliver mail. Consequently, replicas of War Machines were part of the Twentieth Century section of the EarthWorld tourist park. (EDA: EarthWorld)
