Beth Halloran, the wife of Mike Lyndon, was a member of Cell 114 disguised as a Human. She believed herself a human until informed otherwise by Torchwood 3.
Profile
The couple, living on 114 Brodsky Street, were woken up in the night by a loud noise from inside her flat. After sending her husband Mike to investigate, Beth called the police. When the police came, one of the burglars had been murdered and the other severely injured, Mike was unconscious and Beth couldn't remember anything. The police called in Torchwood to deal with the case. Beth was taken to Torchwood base to be interviewed but swore she didn't know anything. However, certain strange things happened - the lights blew whenever she got upset, Owen was unable to get a syringe or even a scalpel inside her. Her presence also frightened Janet the Weevil.
Jack Harkness decided to use a mind probe, which when pushed deep enough, made Beth recite a name, rank and serial number, as well as making her arm open to reveal Cell 114 technology. Toshiko Sato suggested that they freeze her, and wake her up when they knew how to make her Human. Jack agreed and they went ahead with it. When they checked on Beth later, she had vanished. Owen realised that as she knew about Torchwood, she could fool the equipment. Beth had gone to Mike's bedside to say goodbye to him. However, when she hugged him, she accidentally murdered him when her arm turned into a blade. The Torchwood team arrived and captured Beth.
Simultaneously, the rest of cell of sleeper agents had been activated. Jack asked Beth to track them, and she reluctantly used her arm to discover that there's only one left. They tracked the remaining sleeper agent, a man named David. Back at the Hub, Gwen was set to refreeze Beth, but she pretended to try to kill Gwen in order to trick the rest of the Torchwood team into shooting and killing her. (TW: Sleeper)
