Emma Freud was script editor on the Doctor Who television story Vincent and the Doctor, a story written by Freud's professional associate and husband Richard Curtis.

She also contributed to the charity reference book Behind the Sofa: Celebrity Memories of Doctor Who.

In 2017, she organised the "Breakfast of Doctors" auction event with the money going to Comic Relief. She then live tweeted the event of the day itself with several Doctors and the lucky winners.
