William James "Bill" Pullman is the American actor who played Oswald Danes in Torchwood: Miracle Day. His best-known prior roles in the science fiction arena included playing the President of the United States in Independence Day and starring in the Mel Brooks Star Wars spoof Spaceballs.

The name "Bill Pullman" is seen on a list of e-mails in the Doctor Who episode Extremis. It is unclear if this is a reference to the actor or is simply a coincidence.
