This is a tutorial for writing entries for Short Stories


Basic Requirements


Summary

  • A short summary of the short story.

Characters

  • This is a list of all the primary characters.
  • You can also place information pertaining to characters that does not fit within the 'references' list. (Indent and bullet point by using :*)

References

References are anything that is referred to in the short story, these are generally links to other things in the Doctor Who universe, and are in-universe, links to other stories should go in Continuity)
  • This is a list of characters, organisations, planets, races and species and other items which are referred to in the short story.
  • The list should be divided into categories, and for better clarification short descriptions of what it is (or how it fits into the story).

Notes

  • This contains extra information about the short story, behind the scenes writing, other information about it etc.
  • Any other information which does not fall under other headings.

Continuity

Continuity refers to the links between stories and this short story's links to them
  • Tie-ins between this short stories and other stories be them other novels, TV stories or audios.
  • These should be listed (in the same manner to any other story) with the prefix of the story's group followed by the story's title in italics, it does not need to be in brackets.

Timeline

Timeline refers to all Doctor Who media and attempts to place this story within the timeline

The timeline should be written something like this:

  • (page story title) occurs after: (prefix): (story title)
  • (page story title) occurs before: (prefix): (story title)

External Links

  • Here you should place outside links to any sites you used in researching the article, or to sites which may have more information.
