Syllience was the king of Dacea.
Although he loved his servant Dorella, his parents pressured him into marrying Lady Arcanbryte. He had no feelings for her. In fact, she was in a similar situation and she too did not love him. Both were unaware that the other had been pressured into marriage.
Their wedding was interrupted by Arcanbryte's secret lover Bowack, who abducted Arcanbryte to prevent her from marrying Syllience. The Twelfth Doctor and Jata followed the abductors and Syllience followed the Doctor and Jata with two soldiers and Dorella. They arrived on Bowack's zeppelin shortly after the Doctor and Jata and overheard Arcanbryte telling the Doctor that she truly loved Bowack. Upon learning that she didn't love him, Syllience professed his love to Dorella. Everyone returned to the wedding ceremony and Syllience married Dorella. (COMIC: Royal Wedding)
