Although the exact name of the species is not stated in the story, only its bear-like appearance, it is confirmed in BFX: Classic Doctors, New Monsters: Volume Two, where the Eighth Doctor meets another Ursine, that the Eighth Doctor previously met an Ursine in Doom Coalition.
