Tim Price was credited on The Tsuranga Conundrum for creating (and naming) the alien creature in that story, the Pting.
Price had worked with the writer's room early in series 11's development. The team loved the bright and unusual name devised by Price, and kept it for the episode. (DWM 531) Price was listed as its creator in the end credits for Tsuranga, which was ultimately written by Chris Chibnall.
Outside of the DWU, Price is a screenwriter and playwright. He is a founder member of the Cardiff-based theatre company Dirty Protest, launched in 2007.
Tim Price joined the Centre for New Writing at the University of Manchester in 2015, and teaches screenwriting.
