Thorismund

Thorismund was a Visigoth prince and then king.

He was present at the Battle of the Catalaunian Plains in 451 AD in Gaul with his father king Theodoric, fighting on the side of Romans against the Huns commanded by Attila the Hun. When his father was killed by Mekimma, one of the Tenctrama, Thorismund became the king of Visigoths and assumed command over their army. When the battle turned into a slaughter benefiting only the Tenctrama, he followed the advice of the Thirteenth Doctor, joining in a truce between the Roman commander Flavius Aetius and Attila and commanding his soldiers to run away and stay alive.
