Maggie Cain was a member of the Bowie Base One crew. She flew up to the base in 2058 and worked there studying the planet Mars with a team of humans. She was infected with a virus that changed her body form. This virus was known as The Flood. She along with all the other infected members tried to infect the remaining crew and escape to Earth but failed due to the actions of The Doctor. While infected, she is shown to have a voice powerful enough to crack the ice holding The Flood.She was blown up when Adelaide her captain took "Action 5" and destroyed the Base.
