Emily Brooke was the daughter of Adelaide Brooke, and the mother of Susie Fontana Brooke. Whilst her mother was on the Bowie Base which was on Mars, she called, showing Adelaide, her grandaughter. Her mother was recorded as being killed in the explosion, that occured on the base. But due to the Doctor's intervention, he said her mother, but she later committed suicide. Susie was inspired by her grandmothers' achivements, to go on to be come the first spaceship captain. (DW: The Waters of Mars)
