Prelude Set Piece was, as the name suggested, a prelude to Set Piece by Kate Orman. It did not appear in the published novel.
Summary
In a café in Glebe, a waitress witnesses a confrontation between the Doctor and Robin Yeadon concerning Ace. Yeadon tells her the Doctor is an alien, and the Doctor tells Yeadon that he knows when Ace will die. The waitress walks out of the café, quitting her job.
