The Erebus was a submarine.
In 2040, the Erebus was at the Mariana Trench. Chris Fleming saw the Doctor's TARDIS at the edge of it. The Fourth Doctor, Romana I and K9 Mark II went aboard the submarine. (AUDIO: Phantoms of the Deep)
