The Colophons were the native species of the planet Colophos. They became extinct when one of their scientists, Astaroth Morax, released a bacterium that was lethal to the species. Morax offered his people the antidote but only if they were to bow down to him. The Colophons refused. (AUDIO: Last of the Colophon)
