Beatitudes were a type of animal that lived on Mount Lung. They ate evening nectar, which filled their pot-bellies with helium. When the First Doctor returned to Gallifrey to visit Mount Lung, the beatitudes swarmed around his oil lamp. (PROSE: The Three Paths)
