Maimuna was the older daughter of Haroun ed-Din and the sister of Safiya. When her father refused to give her to El Akir, the Emir abducted Maimuna and put her in his harem.
In 1190, Maimuna believed that her family were killed until she met Barbara Wright, and in gratitude helped her hide. She was reunited with Haroun after he had killed El Akir, and together they escaped the palace. (TV: The Crusade)
