You may wish to consult Paul for other, similarly-named pages.

Paul was a single prisoner among the hundreds kept in captivity in the Colosseum whom the Tenth Doctor met when he was arrested for "borrowing" a horse in 120. His true name was never actually known. Paul it was just a nickname the Doctor thought up when he named the only four prisoners who would talk to him.

Paul did not seem very concerned with the situation he was in, despite not enjoying the games from this point of view. The Doctor described him as being "burly". At one point, he told what he thought to be a humorous anecdote, beginning with "So there was this brilliant one..." suggesting he was very fond of watching the fights.

He survived the daring escape from the arena and scattered when everyone else did. (PROSE: The Stone Rose)
