Stanley was an inmate in Wormwood Scrubs Prison in 1969. Brigadier Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart was sent to bunk with him so that Stanley could show him the ropes.
After he escaped and returned to his duties, Lethbridge-Stewart gave Stanley a carrier bag full of chocolates as a thank you for being nice to him. (PROSE: Mind of Stone)
