The Who was a music group that, according to the Fifth Doctor, got together in 1964. He mistook Nyssa's "the who?" in response to being told about the Common Men as a reference to the band. (AUDIO: 1963: Fanfare for the Common Men)
The Eleventh Doctor told Jason Venezia that he once had breakfast with the Who, but could not finish his food because it was thrown out of the window. (GAME: Evacuation Earth)
Behind the scenes
- In the late 1990s a short Shooting Stars skit starring Bob Mortimer, Matt Lucas, Vic Reeves and Mark Lamarr as the first four Doctors was made, called The (Doctor) Who. The band was called "The Who".
